In 1991, Billy Bob's employees visit Nashville on their 10th anniversary and record some performers wishing the club a "Happy Birthday." At a CMA event with his friend Garth Brooks, singer Chris LeDoux gives his well wishes by saying "My name is Chris LeDoux and someday I'm going to get to play Billy Bob's."
LeDoux, a former rodeo cowboy who had worked on the labor list for Billy Minick at Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo, performs his first of many high-energy concerts at Billy Bob's the next January. LeDoux's stage show- pyrotechnics, bull rides and the drama of a stadium rock show- is a huge influence on Garth Brooks, who sees the performer in California and even duets with him on "Whatcha Gonna Do with a Cowboy?"
